Five Places To Visit In San Antonio

San Antonio is a vibrant, cultural hub that is one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States. It’s also a popular destination for business travelers. So, whether you’re on a weekend business trip or a two-week stay, there are plenty of fun and engaging activities for you to experience in the Alamo City.

Here’s a list of five things I recommend checking out in San Antonio:

Halcyon Coffee Bar

Located in Southtown San Antonio, Halcyon Coffee Bar is a vibrant, homely cafe that transforms into a bar lounge at night. Since it’s a popular place to host events, the coffee shop is always filled with locals.

Need a quick brunch in between meetings? Halcyon has plenty of food options, including an all-day breakfast menu. It’s also a great place for professionals and entrepreneurs to work remotely from. If you can, go on Mondays for the all-day happy hour!

2M Smokehouse BBQ

You can’t come to San Antonio without trying our amazing Texas barbeque. There’s no shortage of BBQ places here, but my recommendation is 2M Smokehouse BBQ. Since opening in 2016, 2M has quickly become the top barbeque spot in town, and for good reason–each menu item, from the mouthwatering brisket to the unique sides, is cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Chicharoni Macaroni.

If you’re traveling in a big group, 2M Smokehouse also has corporate ordering options for both delivery and pickup. So, what are you waiting for? Go try some barbeque before leaving San Antonio!

The Pearl Brewery

Despite having lived in San Antonio for more than ten years, I always get excited to visit the Pearl. Starting as a beer brewery, the Pearl has transformed into a community enriched in history and culture, with something for locals and non-locals to enjoy.

There are plenty of things to eat, do, and see at the Pearl Brewery. Need to get some work done? Take advantage of the free wi-fi available in the Pearl neighborhoods. Interested in fresh fruits and vegetables? There’s a farmer’s market every weekend. If possible, I recommend spending at least half a day here to fully immerse yourself.

Main Event Entertainment

If you want something more thrilling than coffee shops and leisure walks, consider going to Main Event Entertainment. From bowling to arcade games to laser tag, the company says it’s “the most fun you can have under one roof.”

Whether you’re wanting a team-building activity or just a fun group outing, Main Event will work with you to give you the best experience possible. Here in San Antonio, we want you to work hard and play hard!

The Riverwalk

To round off your trip, I highly recommend going to the Riverwalk. It’s San Antonio’s number one attraction (besides the Alamo) and there are local events taking place every other week. If you come in late April, you might even be able to celebrate Fiesta.

Besides the abundance of restaurants sprawled along the Riverwalk, you can also enjoy the scenery by taking a stroll or paying for a boat tour. Since this is a popular tourist attraction, try going on a weekday for less crowds.

There’s no shortage of fun activities to do in San Antonio, but hopefully, this list helps you start exploring the wonderful Alamo City. If you’re on a business trip and need a place to work, consider Key Coworking!
